Transformation challenge
After the cruise and getting back to real life, the OrangeTheory Fitness Transformation Challenge ended for us in Canada. Even if I wasn’t super satisfied with my results from the inBody scan, I can say I was much happier with the results from my Withings Scale.
Globally, I did my required trainings for the challenge, and even did 3 days of training while on vacation. It’s so much more than I would’ve done before joining OTF.
It’s also a good kick in the butt to be challenged to lose fat or gain muscle. It makes the workouts more significant and helps with a source of extrinsic motivation! I guess I don’t need that anymore to get to the gym, just having my workouts pre-planned in the OTF app means I’m not skipping one unless there’s a major unplanned problem. I even planned a workout for my meeting in Toronto next week while I’m away from home.
Doing regular exercise just feels amazing, especially when paired to fasting. In the last year I see my muscle mass grow (not bad for a 45 year old guy!) and body fat percentage decrease, the goal of it all.
As one of the coaches always says in The Fasting Method community, we’re here to do hard things. And the more hard things you do, the more you’re able to do.
