Hanging in there

The good part about fasting is basically how easy it is! Sounds weird, I know! But it does make sense in the long run.

When you’re fasting, you don’t need to ADD something to your day, you actually SUBSTRACT something. Unlike when you try to take up a new habit, add a new “miracle” supplement, try a new gym routine and so on, you just need to “not eat.” It’s as easy as that.

I think it’s the main reason it helps me get back on track. You go to a meeting, eat and drink more while you’re there, attend social events. You have crazy work weeks and work crazy long days. It can lead to a loss of motivation or eat for comfort.

One of the best ways I found to get back after those events is to get back to my fasting routine. The gained weight tends to stabilize, and come back down again.

It’s also healthy to give yourself some time to enjoy life, enjoy food, enjoy the company of others. All things that tend to be really food-centric. I tend to organize fasting around my life and not the other way around as much as possible so life is a bit more fun!
